Science ROCKS!

Ted.com Brian Cox on Science Exploration  Spending on Science is always under attack, yet scientists are the engine of the economy: transportation, mechanics, medicine, and a long list of other sciences (let's not forget that we need the weather, seismology and volcano monitoring, and center for disease control), as well as physics, chemistry and biology research.  Yet, it's only 6% of GDP per year for all science spending! Pennies.

Today the Physical Geography 121 Lab meets at La Jolla Shores.  Use the Map in Lab 12 (at the end) to get directions.  We meet at 10:00am in front of the Lifeguard tower.

It's chilly - dress in layers to keep warm, and bring a hat.  See you there!
